Cuban Ambassador to Ireland meets with Cubans residing in Cork.

Cubans residing in the county of Cork, Ireland, met with the Cuban ambassador in this country, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, who travelled accompanied by the Counsellor for Consular Affairs, Mabel Rodríguez Morera. The meeting is part of the two-day visit program to this important Irish city.

During a pleasant meeting, the Cuban ambassador referred to the importance of strengthening, once the pandemic is over, the embassy’s ties with Cubans residing in Ireland, in this case, with those from Cork.

He also explained the situation Cuba is going through, because of the strengthening of the US blockade and the hostile policy of that country, as well as the consequences of its unfair inclusion on the list of countries sponsoring terrorism maintained by the State Department from United States. In this sense, he called to support the permanent solidarity that Irish and Cubans develop with the Cuban people.
