Continuity in Ireland of the campaign against the US blockade of Cuba.
Dublin, April 19, 2021. Coinciding with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Victory of Girón and the closing of the VIII Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, friends of the Forum of Solidarity with Cuba – Ireland visited the Cuban Embassy in Dublin to show us the new posters against the blockade that they have prepared and that they will use in the campaign to be developed by the solidarity organization in the coming weeks.
Marie Barry, president of the Forum, outlined the general idea of the various activities that the group intends to deploy until the presentation of the resolution against the blockade at the United Nations General Assembly on June 23, as well as other solidarity and support actions to the Cuban people to develop in the course of this year.
The occasion was propitious to deliver to the Cuban ambassador a message of congratulations to the people of Cuba and to the militants of the Communist Party for the success of its Congress, as well as to extend a cordial congratulation to comrade Miguel Díaz-CanelBermúdez for his election as First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party.
The extraordinary leadership exercised by comrade Raul Castro Ruz and his contributions to the Cuban Revolution were also recognized.
